  1. So I was reading something that Nomura said about Re:coded in 2.5: "In December 2013, Nomura said that due to Kingdom Hearts Re:coded being shorter than Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, new scenes featuring events to Disney worlds and battles were added. In addition, new scenes connecting Kingdom Hearts Re:coded and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance have been added." this got me thinking at the part where it said battles were added, now dose that mean we watch them fight or do we actually take control and fight now I know the latter seems the most unlikely but that would actually be somewhat cool if that was what it actually is like have the really important battles be playable but it's just what I think anyway, what about you guys do you think it will be actually battles that we get to play and fight or just sit back and watch the fighting.
  2. ive played through kh recoed a lot and I never saw this does anyone know when this happens?

  4. Hey guys, I made an account to ask this question (I'm normally a lurker on this website) I've been playing re:coded recently and have been wanting to 100% the game. I've been looking up ways to get avatars faster online and I can only seem to find one way (through Nintendo Channel) The other way is to wait two hours which I really don't want to do. Is there any faster way to gain avatars through the Avatar Menu? Thanks. -Rillz
  5. So, I've been replaying the series from start to finish and, without a doubt, this was the game I was dreading playing again the MOST. I had only played it once before to get through it and say that I played it so I had the least memory of this game (being that it was so long ago when I had beaten it) and I had the worst preconceived idea of it like a lot of people do (as you know). But, the interesting thing about it is that it has SUCH a great purpose in the series and explaining what's going to happen in KH3 but all of that is comprised of maybe an hour's worth of the game So, this game REALLY did have potential to be incredible just based off of that ending alone, but I think that everything leading up to it was some of the worst KH has ever released. I get how they tried to give it a greater purpose as to why they had to but the tediousness of it is not justified in that explanation as to why they had to do all of that in the first place. But, I have to say that this game despite what everyone says was actually not half bad. It was about 45% bad but the ending to it does do a lot to make up for it. Just curious as to what you guys thought of Re:Coded because it's undoubtebly the game that spawns the most criticism out of all of them.
  6. look im a total noob at kingdom hearts who is ??? at the end i think its roaxs but agian i dont now
  7. What exactly was the importance of coded?
  8. I've noticed that Re: Coded is kind of the least liked KH game, it's ragged on a lot. However, I actually liked it, and I can't be the only one can I? I can see its flaws and why its not liked: we revisit Wonderland, Agrabah, and Olympus Colosseum for the UMPTEENTH time, music is re-used, we're fighting as KH1 Sora, and in a sense, an extra game such as Re: Coded wasn't necessary. BUT let me give you my reasons why I liked Coded and how I see it added to the KH series. Let's get this out of the way, if it wasn't for this particular adventure we would't have known what Mickey's letter said at the end of KH2 or how he came to acquire the knowledge of the people Sora was connected to. It's this game that we find out how Sora's story is going to continue (that and Blank Points). ALSO the secret ending of Coded set up what 3D was going to be about: Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery Exam. Coded also introduces the memories that Sora possesses, the theory of multiple Xehanorts, and a new goal for Maleficent and Pete. On the subject of worlds, I admit the Disney world story lines are boring, Traverse Town's is a little boring too, but we get to have Destiny Islands as a playable world, which we haven't had since Chain of Memories; Castle Oblivion too. Boss battles were generic until Hollow Bastion, from then on we got cooler battles: Pete, Riku (groan), Maleficent, Roxas, and Sora's Heartless. C'mon, no one can say that the Sora's Heartless boss battle with Ansem's final battle theme wasn't absolutely epic. We got to beat on Pete and Maleficent again *evil laugh* Riku and Roxas's boss battles were very unique: their battle music was their themes, and this is what I love about Coded. I was dreading the Riku fight but when his theme played and his plea for Sora to destroy him, I felt like I was actually fighting my best friend and I was sad. (until I nearly threw my DS at a wall cause I couldn't beat him). I never played KH2: FM so I got my Roxas battle. And there is a scene in Coded that is repeated in 3D: in Coded Sora enters or "dives" into Riku's data or "heart" to save his friend from the darkness or "bugs"; in 3D Riku dives into Sora's heart to save his friend from the darkness, I don'y know if anyone else noticed that but I thought it was nice to see how in Coded we saw how Sora always comes to Riku's aid, and how in 3D we see how much Riku has redeemed himself by coming to Sora's aid. The gameplay was fun, for I had not played BBS and that was my introduction to the command deck, I liked the Stat Matrix menu, and the system sectors and their challenges. Overall I liked Re: Coded, despite its flaws, and I hope I'm not the only one. And sorry this is so long
  9. Honestly, I thoroughly enjoyed Re:Coded. Most people seem to forget that it was originally a Japanese cell phone game. Of course the storyline won't be complex. The gameplay's great though, doesn't that count for anything? This is by far the most underrated KH game out there, and it kinda saddens me to see all the hate it gets. So, who else here enjoyed it?
  10. In Kingdom Hearts 2 Maleficent couldn't enter the Disney Castle, so how come she did in Coded and DDD?

  12. In Re: Coded there are three figures in black coats, two of which were identified: Data-Riku and Data-Roxas, but the third? In the beginning of Coded, in the Awakening Station, there was someone in a black coat there; when said someone appears again, it was Data-Riku, so I assumed that it was Riku in the first place. However, during the de-bugging Riku level, this revealed not to be the case. So I assumed it was Roxas, and the final boss of Coded confirmed that assumption for me. In the cutscene of the many Soras in Traverse Town in 3D, Young Xehanort says: "You've been here many times. Your first journey, your voyage through memories, in the datascape...". No form of Xehanort was seen in Coded, so, how come he lists the datascape? Xigbar asked Sora why he kept going through his dreams, and Sora gave the same reply as Data-Sora, that his heart ached. Xigbar expected this answer, meaning Organization XIII had to have known about the memories within Sora and how dangerous they could be to him, which was only revealed in Coded. The figure in the coat in the beginning of Coded was never revealed, and the new Org XIII seem to have known what went on in the datascape. So, was that person a form of Xehanort who revealed that info to Young Xehanort and Organization XIII? Could a data version if Ansem be one of the 13 darknesses?
  13. Since I have no life I decided to get the 100 floors in the game. I already knew the nintendo channelñ method and I used it. But when I got to floor 68 the method stopped working. It won't give me anymore avatars and I'm desperate because the Nintendo channel will be closed in 3 days and I'm NOT gonna use the ''leave the DS idle for 2 hours'' method. Please can someone help me solve this problem?
  14. After seeing how great it could be in Re:Coded, I really, really want to see a full fledged thing. Seriously, that was fun! I mean, it'd have to be fleshed out a bit, that's a given, but the basic idea is really good (It's basically Paper Mario)
  15. If i do, which i might, what do you guys recommend to do in game?
  16. Everybody goes around saying 'The only important part of Re:Coded is the ending' Now, why is that? There are a LOT of plot points in Re:Coded. Sure, they're in a digital world but why does that matter? This is Kingdom hearts. So I don't get it, why is everybody so sure Re:Coded isn't going to come back and haunt us?
  17. I totally overpaid for this game and was able to get it 100% complete in under 60 Hours. I was furious that it only took me 18 hours to beat the story. The only thing i liked about this game was that it introduced me to the command battle system(didnt have Psp) and that it had different battle modes(turn based and where ur runnin in Wonderland). I also liked that u had a free roam mode. i hated not having that in days. I'm not saying that this game is bad i'm just saying that it wasnt really necessary to make a full game for them to tell u that Xehanort was alive again and that Sora had to save the other main characters. They could've just put that towords the beginning of the next one. I hope DDD doesnt turn out to be like this.
  18. Was the difficulty of Re:Coded challenging to you? I found it to be very hard, especially towards the second half of the game. Behind KH3D, this is the second hardest KH game for me so far. What do you think about it?
  19. I've actually played Re:Coded, and from the bottom of my heart, i can honestly say i don't like the game at all. I payed 20 dollars for it at gamestop a year ago(From all the gameplay i saw, it looked and seemed alot like KH1, which i loved to death, so i thought i would like it). I made a big mistake. I started the game, (forgot which difficulty i did it on, or if the game even had a difficulty selection) and played through it for awhile. I got lost on the Destiny Islands, and the game felt like it wasn't even an official installment in the KH series, it felt like it was a FAN MADE GAME. A VERY BADLY MADE FAN GAME. I went on to the other worlds, and it felt worse and worse. I liked a little bit how when you got into battle at Olympus coliseum it became more like traditional RPG, so that was ok, but it still didn't help at all, because Olympus coliseum was the one world that trolled me in terms of getting around the place, i constantly got lost. And there was barely a story too! The only things really pointing to it having a thin story at all was that Mickey created Data Sora to clean up the bugs in the journal, that one point in the game where Data Sora got seemingly destroyed, but was brought back. And then the ending, where Mickey says goodbye to Data Sora, sends the letter to Sora telling him that he needs to take the Mark Of Mastery to save those people connected to him. All in all, i think Square barely put any effort when making this game. It felt very half assed, i am so dissapointed at the Osaka team for ruining the potential this game could've had. Re:coded is the only game in the KH series that i genuinely hate, even to this day. All the other games i liked/loved alot, and were worth my money. This one was not.
  20. It would work out a lot better that way for a few reasons 1. People already feel like the story isn't important (which it is important) so making it cutscene only like Days would make it seem more useless to those people 2. It has some of the most unique gameplay in the series. I'd put it up with Com in terms of it's unique gameplay style since each world has a different gameplay gimmick for you to take advantage of. 3. With Days they wanted to remake it but didn't have enough time so they just remade the scenes. It would be easier than that to simply port it from the DS as is to the PS3
  21. Remember that this game was originally just a phone game.
  22. This is why I like Data Sora. After having played Com, Days and KHII you get this scene with Data Sora thanking Data Naminé. Even if it is data this scene still has so much meaning.
  23. Re:Coded had a lot of awesome gimmick gameplays for different worlds but which was your favorite? Personally my favorites were Side Scrolling and turn based rpg
  24. Who feels that Re: Coded is unimportant to the story of Kingdom Hearts?
