this isn't just a lanterns thing, but i'm honestly so tired of the whole "it costs to much to animate this character into this live-action show so we're gonna have them adopt a human disguise for the majority of their screentime instead" thing. after a certain point it feels cheap and uninspired, and it just begs the question of "why did you even bother with an animated character if you knew you wouldn't be able to feasibly include them ina meaningful manner?"
