and yeah Ot and Ice were right- the stagger mechanic is actually good.

There's a lot of little details that I appreciate that are classic to FF's 1-6, like the shops, the world map, armor and weapons being sold in the same building but different counters-- little details that scratch my brain in a nice way lol

But then after the first area and I got to the world map all of a sudden I was like "ah yeah brah I'm feeling this"

Ya know as I was playing it I wasnt sure how I felt about it, art wise- like its cool right, but I'm feeling the nitpicks like, "well, they're harkening back to this era but it didn't look like this/sound like this" Like I got nothing against 2.5D but it just wasnt clicking
