Tidus and Wakka's jobs are Blitzballer therefore they get sets that resemble a Blitzballer. Yuna is a summoner and WHM therefore she gets a robe that looks like WHM, Auron is a samurai and he wears a samurai armor. same for lulu with BLM or Kimahri with Dragoon. They were way more creative in FFX than in Revelation

a lot of these sets would actually work even with FF7's more modern look. they just decided to be incredibly boring with them

my issue with the costume designs is that they force modern looks on the characters, when the jobs were designed with high fantasy in mind. they should have gone FFXIV style in terms of designs. Final Fantasy is at its best, when they mix multiple genres
