Pretty much everything, though I have to admit the voice acting for some supporting characters is a bit weak (I don't remember the name of that one guy who survived, a bit on the heavy side, I just remember that his actor didn't really wow me), and the story is a lot to take in if you haven't been following all of XV/Versus XIII's trailers all these years. The action is incredible though, and these are some of the best cinematic graphics I've ever seen, it actually almost puts Advent Children to shame. It's pretty much the equivalent of watching a KH cinematic "movie" like Days or Re:Coded, just with much better graphics. As long as you have a basic understanding going in, you will have a decent time watching everything unfold.

Why isn't graphics in the list? I don't really consider it the same as animation but anyway, that's what impressed me the most. The action was amazing too, but sadly the editing made it hard to enjoy fully.

Location, because we can't fully explore Insomnia in the final game.

Story was awful, characters wasted too much potential and action was too much, couldn't see what happened lol.

I've been waiting for this!

The textures and the models were really detailed but that's it.

The story is weak and is only there to explain what the plot of the game will be.

All the characters are blunt and undeveloped with the exception of 1 or 2.

I don't remember the music standing out to much but I assume it was good.

The locations weren't TOO creative but they weren't bad either. Insomnia looks really good but aside from that one place there wasn't anything else standing out.

The voice acting is SUPER awkward and it doesn't match the movement of the characters making it very distracting. I'm not sure why but the voices felt disembodied throughout the whole movie and I really didn't enjoy that.

The animation was...It wasn't bad...But it wasn't as good as I expected. It was really meh with nothing striking out. So I didn't like the animation either.

The action was very weird. I don't know if it was the quality of the video I saw but I could not tell what was happening throughout the action scenes, especially in the climax.

The dialogue was cringy to its core so the bad writing combined with the disembodied and awkward voice acting made this whole movie really hard to enjoy.

Overall, the movie was a letdown with the only impressive thing being the detailed models and textures.

Everything else was pretty bad.

I give it a 2.5/10

I've got to go with the graphics/animations, the movie was just visually stunning to me, other components of it weren't bad imo, they were just okay, graphics stuck out the most to me haha.

I liked the music and the visuals, but outside of King Regis and some of Nyx's moments, I didn't care for the story at all.

The movie also made me really dislike Luna, who before I didn't care much for to begin with. I wanted to like her, but this movie just made me wish she'd get killed, even though I knew she was definitely gonna live.

I personally loved it. Made me even more hyped for XV. I don't have a ps4 though and that greatly pains me o.o

I would say that the animations is the most favorite. I mean, they had made it as similar as movie in general (I mean more likely like the real )

Kingsglaive was a pretty impressive film!  Everything about it was pretty awesome, and it served as a great hype-up motivator for Final Fantasy XV!

The two moments I loved most were when Somnus Nemuri played while Nyx was talking to Luna, and the after credits scene that shows Noctis and his friends as their car breaks down! :3

I didn't see it yet nor do I plan to

FF movies tend to be bad, and even though I heard it is better than the other two, I won't pay money to see it- only way I would see it is with a friend who got the blue-ray of the movie or something.

For damn certain it's not the story or characters...  The animation is really its redeeming quality, but even that is somewhat hurt by the extremely wonky camera angles they used for some of the action - hard as hell to keep up with it.

That's too bad.  As shitty as it is, it's kind of crucial for Final Fantasy XV since it's basically the opening act.  The stakes, the goal, the phlebotinum, all of it is established for 15 proper.  In fact, it even kind of pisses me off that they relegated all that to a movie instead of keeping it in the game.

Video game movies in general are pretty shit and so are live action anime films. The mario film, spirits within, Ratchet and Clank, Hitman, Mortal Kombat, Dragon Ball Evolution, Avatar Last Airbender,

Yeah, I just wanted to make a more specific statement.

Weird, I didn't get a notification for that quote.

Anyway, I am not sure if I am going to like the story

Worst-case scenario, if I do get interested in the story and it really is necessary and I can't see it with a friend which would make it much more enjoyable, I would just read a summary.

In fact, the only reason I will play the game in 2016 is because my brother is pre-ordering it

Otherwise I wouldn't be sure whether to buy it or not, and if I would buy it, it would be in 2017.

I was mostly impressed with animation, action and music.

As an animator (in training) I have been slain and blown away by how incredibly hyper-realistic the characters were. I have incredible respect for the character animation team, but also every other team who made the environments as incredible as they were among other such jobs. Overall just, beautiful. I'm very passionate when it comes to critical analysis of animation, I'll be blunt where necessary but I can't bring myself to fault Kingsglaive in appearance alone. Making stuff look that incredible does not come easy! You should see the disaster of my attempt at making a character, I have to go for a more Skyward Sword/Hyrule Warriors look as hyper realism with the right amount of lighting, shadows, colour depth under the skin, normal mapping for depth, ambient occlusion, the list goes on is incredibly hard. Even veteran animators that teach us would struggle to create such a thing.
