Posted January 15, 20178 yr Why do people like to say "first" in the comment section of YouTube videos? I never understood why people make those kinds of comments.
January 15, 20178 yr Popular Post It's literally just bragging rights. They try and leave a comment saying "First" as quickly as they can as soon as the video is uploaded to show that they were "first." Personally, I think it's a dumb trend that was never funny and is pure annoyance. By the way, first! Bet you're annoyed now, aren't ya? Edited January 15, 20178 yr by Master Eraqus
January 15, 20178 yr Oh those, I hate them. It was as annoying as the ¨under 301 club, how tough are ya?¨ comments.
January 15, 20178 yr It's pretty much for bragging rights. Kind of petty if you ask me. All it does is ensure that you're the first comment people see when they scroll through them, if they even bother to look at the comments that is. If you're going to waste people's time by stating the obvious, you should at the very least have something worthwhile to add in addition to it. Like, I don't know, actually comment on the video? What a concept! In any case, it's essentially one of the many petty quirks of internet culture that has persisted over time, and while it isn't nearly as bad as starting a flame war, it's still kind of a juvenile thing to brag about.
January 15, 20178 yr I always reply to those dumb comments by saying "last to resolve" It's a Yugioh joke. Peace!
January 16, 20178 yr I guess because want to be the first??? I've commented with a number just to be funny, but I don't think I've ever been first. I think...
January 16, 20178 yr You know, I've actually never seen these "first" comments before! Is that weird? O.O
