Again, ....not my photo, but i'm bringing it up here! Someone told me that they think someone may have just died in front of Sora. I have an idea on what happened, but for conversations sake what do you guys think?

But that leaves not many people as canditates because humans normally dont turn to fairy dust. Put yea i have also an idea what happend. This feels like they were just walking and that person was killed out of nowhere

Honestly, people very rarely "die die" in Kingdom Hearts. I've seen a lot of people acting like this is "Infinity War" and talking about everyone's gonna die but...do we really think they're going to kill Donald Duck when Disney didn't even want to let Square Enix make a fighting game with these characters? I think people might be taken away from Sora, Riku might die...maybe. We'll see I guess but I'm not expecting anyone to die permanently.

TBF, we had one person turn to crystals and another turn to light particules. But I'm wondering if it's at a different point then we are lead to believe in the trailer cause something does not seem right timing wise.

Yeah I don't think anyone's going to die permanently, at least not at that moment. Though I don't think it's an Goofy in KH2 situation either. From what we saw Donald and Lea are either in critical condition or temperarily dead, Mickey, Goofy, and Kairi were just swept away with them but from the looks of things they are still alive. Riku's probably gonna be separated too, either he's just gonna be swept away alive or swept away temperarily dead to wherever the others were dragged too. So things still don't look too good, but I don't think Kairi, Mickey, and Goofy are dead. The other three are kinda up in the air, but whatever happened to them is probably not permanent so it's a slightly lesser version of Infinity War.

Yes, that's what I was thinking as well. I do think there's a possibility of someone and I really feel like it'll be Riku (I hate that idea though). But yeah, I feel like there's going to be at least one casualty to really establish what's at stake this time around.

I think it's possible at least one or two protagonists could die permanently. It's still unclear to me if Eraqus actually permanently died like Strelitzia probably did considering they make it sound like his heart is inside Terra. There's also the possibility that no one dies since the rules of death in this series are unknown considering each world has it's own rules and it's own form of death. If anyone's actually dying permanently, I think it would most likely be Xehanort and some of his vessels. Those sparkles on the ground could possibly be something completely different from Riku dieing and it doesn't look like the usual white particles that come out of a person when they fade away, but it's also more blue in color than the purple color of that light that came out of Riku's Keyblade when defending Sora from the swarm. Although, we've also only seen very light-hearted people, heartless, nobodies, and a puppet fade away into nothing.  Who knows?  Riku could actually permanently die or all the red flags could be simply a red herring. I highly doubt they are going to kill an iconic Disney character like Donald Duck. Disney wouldn't allow it. I'm still convinced Kairi, Roxas, Terra, Ven,  and Aqua will all be safe by the series end. Sora will obviously be safe since it's been confirmed he's not going to die. I'm still on the fence about Riku and Lea. They said they tried to kill Lea before but kept him alive due to him being a fan favorite but there's also the point of it being really sucky that he would die right after possibly seeing Roxas again. Riku is a really cool character and it would suck if they just offed him because his character development has reached it's peak but that sounds like it could be a possibility too. Xion's fate is up in the air, especially if that was her pointing the Kingdom Key at Lea. If she is a vessel she could end up going one of two ways, dying permanently or being saved by Sora. Whether or not Namine is gone for good is unknown as well since we've seen hide nor hair of her since that illusion in DDD and she became one with Kairi in KH 2. Since they are all on the box art, it's safe to say we'll most likely see all of them at least once.

The only person i assume is going to die permanently is xehanort and even there i am not sure if he at the end of the game will turn good because "he saw the Light" or if he himself was used by the darkness all along

What about Clayton's death?  He got squashed like a bug.  Eraqus turned into light but went into Terra.  I have a hard time believing anyone is going to die since nobody actually dies in Kingdom Hearts or so I've been told.

It would not surprise me if everyone who apparently "died" in this trailer were in Sora's heart. He's got a lot of people in there already.

It would have been pointless to bring him back to life only to kill him again. I totally agree.

Actually the blue comes from the defeated shadows.

Those sort of look like something an Unverse would drop slightly.

That raises a good question. What would happen if sora loses his heart again? Specifically to the people how live inside him

Maybe they all become their person while a Heartless and a nobody are created.   It is an interesting dilemma.   But how would Sora turning a Heartless and having a secondary nobody or Roxas resuming his role as Sora's nobody help things?

Who could have been the person that "died"?  I hope it is not Lea though I don't think his "death" would impact him that much as Riku "dying".

I don't think he was crying over a death though.  I just think everyone got taken by darkness and left Sora completely alone. He's never really been alone before.

I've just been giving a lot of likes recently and after a certain amount it justs says I can't give anymore likes for the day. I don't know what the exact amount is.

I think Sora will end up worse considering all the pain he's holding inside of him.
