Scala was funny, it was so big but had what, 8 chests?

Well the whole point was to find Kairi's Heart fragments

Even in KH1 the ff characters were there to tell you that Hollow Bastion used to be their homeworld and that it’s now a shell of its former self

Review is over. Overall I'd say it was good despite me disagreeing with a lot of it.

And I don't appreciate how he contradicted himself sometimes

Well here is the thing with Reviewers

Its their Opinion

The objectivity x subjectivity was something he honestly shouldn't have brought up

You might Disagree you might not

It's like the perfect red herring

Sure Zenic, but opinions can also he discussed and debated

If he was trying to put his Review as Facts that it only mattered what he said then yeah its wrong

In KH2 TWTNW is the home of the nobodies and they are building a literal KH there and it’s where you are lead to believe Roxas basically came from, or at least lived in with the org, built up from the beginning of the game

If you say "I think Xion's return in KH3 was very well handled, in my opinion", the fact that it's your opinion doesn't prohibit me from discussing it.

See Zenic, here's the tricky part

At the beginning of the video, he made the objective x subjective distinction

So if I say anything of good or bad, better or worse, that's subjective

Which, ok, fine

You can have that

But then he started making statements that could pass as objective

Like criticizing people for saying Jump Force was better than KH3

Or saying that people who thought KH2 had better cutscenes than KH3 were being disingenuous

That's having your cake and eating it too

Which is a big no no

JF is good, but I don't find it better then KH3

It is its own thing

Yeah, sure

But that's not the broader point

That's why it's so tough to thread the linguistic ground, just don't even mention the objective and subjective thing, otherwise many people are going to be distracted by you not applying your own rules consistently

I mean like did he even go into what he meant by that cutscene thing? Like are we referring to the acting, the visuals, the animations or the context of the conversations??

He referred to dialogue, cinematography and pacing

All of those can be picked apart

KH3 has amazing character movement, but a lot of the actual cinematography is static

Because obviously the cinematography is better for the most part and the visuals too, but I wouldn’t even say that the animations were used to their fullest a lot of the time nor was the dialogue as on point as it could’ve been

There are basic rules every Reviewer must Follow: Reviewing the Story and its lore and where it is in the Timeline. How the Controls for the game is like if its simple, complex and how it effects Gameplay. And how the Characters effect the story and gameplay as well.

It doesn't bother some people, but it bothers others

Did he follow those Rules?

I wouldn't even call those rules tbh

Well thats how I see Reviewing

They're just steps you can follow in a recipe. It helps, but you can make use of a recipe in different ways.

Yes, but those Steps make you a better Reviewer

Honestly review is just such a catch-all term for what could probably not pass as being a review sometimes

Like you said he did a few No nos in his review

So it seems his Steps were not needed
