from what it looks like, it's like casting aero before he becomes a triangle, and then guide where he becomes a triangle to be on top of that aero

Idk it feels too much of a flow dampener just from the looks of it and if you're sensitive to the tensity of the fight I feel it could easily make you wipe

thunder is instant but the drawback to this is if you miss the timing your out of luck, with this it lingers so this might be easier to punish

In the comments of the twitter people are saying the wave represented Riku's descent into darkness, with the wave being darkness.
I like the idea that Riku is envious of Sora, like he still has remaining feeling for Kairi. So Namine meaning "wave" in front of him, his darkness his passed.
But he reaches out to cling onto it, reaching for some sort of remnant of kairi out of envy
