so Sora lost the power of waking because of darkness in ddd

and he got it back when confronting the embodiment of his and ven darkness, vanitas

was it because of vanitas that he lost it in ddd ?

I understood it as when he fell to darkness near the end of DDD

on top of obtaining all the feelings of Roxas and Xion and seeing Aqua/Terra

since his whole journey was rigged in the first place

ha so no link to vanitas

i guess if you wanna consider the link between ventus and vanitas and the fact that Ventus' armor protected sora then maybe?

but im leaning towards no on that link, but given that he confronted vanitas it makes sense how/when he got the power back
