yeah it does

When the rest is the same

change

At the time light was to abundant then he wanted to have darkness. Then darkness became to abundant so he needed light

not the rest of it

Balance

I mean in Japanese,it’s all about the context..

If you use the context of “blank”..

that sounds more like he is going through a loop. Like a comedy sketch

I don't think Xehanort wanted to reset it for the darkness... Even in the JP version. That wouldn't make sense with the 'redeeming qualities' of the scene.

It certainly doesn't add up with his previous motivations, I agree with that.

why do you think translations of works

are important

if you screw up one part

you make the whole thing wrong

I wish we had more of the Japanese scene

But there has to be more than just that

"stop the weak from polluting the world with their endless darkness." Are you gonna tell me that is mistranslated too?

I have a feeling there’s more to it

because that one word alone doesnt change it

all

yes it does

its the context of the word

"The light, the symbol of the world’s hope, was devoured by shadow. Leaving nothing but ruin… an utter failure.”

Or that

not it changes the whole thing about him wanting a world pure and bright

to him wanting a more balanced or blank world

If only Queen were here, she knows the most Japanese

That could tell us if there were any more mistranslations or not

or any other japanese fluent person

If we're gonna rely on translations being wrong to support arguments, what's the point

But.. translation inconsistencies are.. kinda a big deal?

where is queen btw

havent seen her for a while

Why do you not think it is?

She’s been busy

to say that a translation error when goin from japanese to eng

is small

last I checked

japanese is about context

and if you mistranlate
