Never seen so much truth in one sentence arthur

Ahh yeah fair enough

Darkside appears in KH2 in Roxas' visions of Sora's memories. Totally counts right?

I died stupidly because i ran into darksides attack

but that was on me

mmm i guess?

still a death

oh yeah I know xD

This chat doesn't let me forget

imagine how many times an average person in Soras position would've died

You know it’s odd

On how the chamber of awakening was used in KH3

YES

i KNOW WHAT YOU'RE THINKING

AND SO MUCH YES

"oh look theres a 50 ft monster, better kill using this key sword and oh look im already dead"

But in 3 it’s just there because its a staple. And doesn’t have much plot wise.
(It doesn’t have to, I just noticed that odd detail this moment.)

I wrote about the dive to the heart myself

it's very symptomatic of KH3's problems

Though the moogle does mention about Sora visiting it multiple times.

Chirithy

I only got one hour of sleep last night

the station of awakening doesnt have much relevace being the tutorial section

WALL OF TEXT INCOMING so brace yourselves

To give an example, just compare the Dive to the Heart in all 3 games, in 1&2 they felt like events.

In KH1 the game just drops you into some random dark spooky place, it's a huge shift from simple and clean and that gets your gears working. You go up all these different floors to reach the darkside and when it's over its connected to the main story because Sora dreamt about it and it's referenced.

In KH2, it felt like an earned moment for a returning player, and for a new player it comes at a moment of high tension ; you have no idea what these weird-ass belly dancer things are and suddenly one comes right up to attack you. It unfolds pretty much the same as KH1 and that's not a bad thing at all because it's implemented so well.

In KH3 we get dropped into it just like KH1. We choose our sword/staff/shield on the same platform just like previous games. And then we get whooshed into the final world to fight Darkside. No sense of grandeur, and if there is then it gets lost because it all happens so quickly, and once its over there's no connection to it at all.

Even if it wasn't mentioned in KH2 we saw Namine pull Roxas out of the darkness. We see him afterwards wondering about everything that's happened.

I'm not saying it's terrible or the game is ruined but I am saying that right from the get go this "lacking" problem is evident in KH3 and this is just a small example of a much bigger problem.

you do it and then your kicked right into the actual story

I still can't believe Sora is firetrucking dead

xD

Well, he'll get better

do you think hes just sitting there in the final world chilling with Chirithy

nah he's in shibuya

But isnt Riku in Shibuya

Then shinjuku I guess x.x
