I think Kh2 felt more naturally to what Sora would be like, and even if he didn't 100% develope through the games, like in 2

it's like Repliku.. tat's not really Riku. He has the memories of Riku, but only the ones of his hatred for Sora from Kh1.

Just like how I think CoM Sora is just.. frustrated, because he doesn't understand what's going on, he can't understand what's going on, because he's losing all his memories. And, yes I'm burrowing from Re:Coded here, it seems with every floor Sora went through, he'd lose his memories more and more...
