So, perhaps, it is expanding on the series on a whole and the general idea that they seek to return what (like memories) and who (Xion being one) were lost by abusing dive mechanisms means that have capricious outcomes, including traversing time.

Well they might add stuff in a free update to the game

Kingdom Hearts 2 had many combo modifiers, while KH3 has, like, 6

but the story dlc will definitely have a major story focus

the way i think they want it to be is for you to mix and match the forms combos rather than using the base combo

base + form combo + magic + finishers + shotlock

the combos there are endless tbh
