I think these are great features

The moogle photo missions are the closest it got to that

there was one side quest in Olympus but that was about it makes me wonder if they were going to add more that kind of stuff

I think what's really great about the rat is how it shows that side characters can work well in KH3

Oh yeah and saving people in Olympus

And the herc figures yes

Just proof Olympus was made before the change in direction

it was one of the first World's we saw

I think they would have made this for every world if ff7r wouldn't be a thing

Maybe not even that, perhaps the execs needed KH3 out by Q4 2018

as I've said many times though Olympus does feel very different for the rest of the game

Thats because it isnt kh3

I remember a screenshot a couple years back where it said KH3 would release then

No, I get what you mean

Olympus is the most fleshed out world along with Caribbean I would say. But for different reasons. Caribbean is focused on open ended side activity, Olympus is focused on a linear but bombastic story

Also, I think Olympus benefits a lot more from being the first world because you aren't tired of the villains showing up to chat, if anything it creates a more intense feeling surrounding the rest of the game

Not to mention all the lingering plot threads are given a mention

And we get Riku straight after, it sets a good pace the rest of the game fails to follow

It still feels like everything is building up to something in the beginning. All the major plot points are introduced and the right questions are asked. It balances the world story and the main story well

I guess it helps that Olympus is always used in KH, less red tape to deal with and all.

Maybe they should focus on older properties, I know a ton of people still want jungle book, Atlantis, treasure planet etc

Also those last two would be legitimately interesting with KH's lore, lilo and stitch too

The other thing with Olympus is that it doesn't feel like you are just aimlessly in the world, you have a clear goal, and a sense of urgency with the attack

And you have a clear end goal, the top of the mountain, after thebes is saved anyway

Yeah, I think Toy box is similar to an extent

But after that it's just kinda kersplat

I hope we get a baymax sequel in the next game
