You know the game did a bad job at making us care about Kairi when a orchestra simply playing over it showing flashbacks of previous titles makes me feel more emotions than the games ending.

Yeah but I always kind of thought that as Sora's radar to tell him where to go. Surely he still has to unlock the road to get there?

I actually cry when I see that montage at the start of the game

It just brings up a lot of emotions

Probably because much of those games were relatively well executed

laughsinnomura laughsinnomura

Seemed to work like how it was in BBS, it's just an open space now

And I think that applies to KH3 to a certain extent, since although they didn't fumble the delivery, the story itself had almost no flair or energy to it, it felt like a sequence of events that happened because Nomura wrote it in his storyboard instead of a logical sequence of events that builds up to the events that'll follow

Like, you didn't need a specific road to go on

They were always there

I don't blame them for getting rid of those gates tbh

To have to keep using them is probably annoying

Story wise we don't get a reason for it ofc, but thats just how it goes

I mean you don't have to use the gates as they appeared in 2, I was more concerned about where did the keyhole go? I mean they are using keyblades after all. It kind of made sense because of it.

The keyhole? Well, they were sealing them in KH1 because the heartless were coming from them to attack the hearts of the worlds

My only guess is that the heartless aren't doing that anymore, because they are fewer in number (KH2 yen sid says so) so they don't need to seal them anymore

KH1 the heartless were at the most widespread I guess

And since KH3 is set barely after KH2, it's gonna be like KH2 numbers

The world's have darkness in them but they aren't being consumed by it
Therfore we don't need to deal the worlds up since the main threat are the org members this time around

Vs in the others, the world's were teeming with and being consumed by darkness, causing them to be split apart and we needed the key holes and gates to move around

I thought the split was the natural state of the worlds, remember that in KH1 the FF crew says once the world's are restored they won't be able to cross again

The heartless attack actually broke down the barriers between the worlds

Basically they aren't split anymore because it's too tiring to keep using that plot point, really

Well, I should say they aren't inaccessible

And like I said I don't blame them

That being said, it did feel kinda sad/annoying to not seal a keyhole at the end of the world

They has that in KH1 before they know this would take off

Since for me at least, that's what would allow for Sora to unlock the new key chains

Ah yes

Hmm perhaps the Keyblade learned auto-lock

You could add keyholes into your world building thing
