Hm.. No,, I tihnk its saying that this is what he observed

because next, in report 12, he states this

The enemy w/in

The quotations make me think it is a certain thing

Somewhere in this cyclical history of bequeathings, a chosen one will appear and reenact the Keyblade War. When this scapegoat arrives and takes my Keyblade in hand, that will be the time to take the stage and finish my role.

Like it's an actual force that can be fought

darkness will always come... meaning that xehanort alone is not responsible for darkness, i and highly doubt that darkness dind't try to overtake the lgiht before xehanort was born

Cyclical bequeathing, time isn't cycling, it's simply the ceremony of Keyblade wielders using no name

I didn't imply time travel

You ever hear the term that history repeats?

Luxu is implying that history is a cycle

I think she meant the bequeathing process happening over and over again.

and, if you look at real life, it most certainly is true

W/ that, an new apprentice of No Name has the potential to start similar mishaps.

I think Xehanorts motive for balance did make sense up until which side he was balancing sort of flipped

If you are going to balance a scale there has to be a certain side your trying to balance

How if he literally pretty uch calls both terrible over the course of his 11 year run

I don't think it matters which side he was on...only that balanced was to be achieved in both light and darkness.

Like ff14 is a game that handles this balance of light and dark idea more effectively

It shows the consequences of both sides in their own right, and realizes that balance is extremely important.

It's a lot simplier in FFXIV, though, and it does't make you di through nuance and text

whcih is a good thing on ffxiv's part, honestly

they present light and darkness as two forces rather than a set of individuals

and they represent balance via the main character

Okay Xehanort says "an empty world pure and bright" something that is pure can't be 2 different things, it's either pure light or pure darkness he's talking about

Unless he meant as a clean slate.

But an empty world implies there is only one thing there in that space

well, in japanese he states "pure and blank"

Ambiguous

That might change the context of the scene

The pure and bright is a lot less ambiguous

well, for a heads up, translators on kh3 said they had to take a difference approach in the translating process of the game
