I can never care about Isa simply because his character has nothing interesting to say. It's just I know you Lea. We were friends

There's no reason to provide a better example, just because Riku fits better with Zuko doesn't mean the same standard can't be applied to Isa. Both are villains who go through redemption arcs. Zuko had an arc, Isa didn't. That's all.

To be fair Saix in 358 seemed somewhat interesting but in 3 hes just back to being boring.

And just because he's a side character doesn't mean anything, no one is asking for a whole game just on him, but his redemption should have been saved for another game where it can be a b plot

I mean if they are making Lea a major character now they can easily give us an Axel and Lea backstory

That's part of why I cant get into its story

Everyone's okay because KH3 is just wish fulfilment because it shows the reunions and shit right, but no one cares that so many of these scenes feel so generic because there's no payoff or setup, it all just happens

And honestly half of them never needed an expansion on their character

But we're at the stage where everybody has to be somewhat connected to what is happening.

No but my point is you are comparing a character who has been there since the beginning of the series to one who got introduced in the middle of it, and even then Isa was just a side character who got some great lines every now and then. 358 did more with him but even then the comparison to Zuko still doesn't work.

I mean, yes he should get development. But there's a bunch of character before him that actually deserves it first. What Isa got is already good enough for what and who he is
