I think the real difference between KH2 and KH3 is this:
KH2 had a strong focus on original worlds, KH2 also had good character interactions in general which makes up for the plot
KH3 Only has good interactions between sora Donald and Goofy. Its severely lacking in the other two departments. At the end of the day a lot of the fans are in it for KH, not disney
