And I still hear people say you should go for KH2 before Days and I just don't agree with that at all

There is no payoff to his backstory there at all

imo the only advantage KH2 has over KH3 is the mid point/radiant garden but the other parts are as "bad" as the stuff in 3

yeah that one was really good

it helped the pacing a lot

but playing kh2 without days means you know almost nothing

KH1 has actually one of the most anticlimatic/sad endings imo because the main character doesn't achieve his overall goal
