During the start of it I mean basically the same thing

seems th ven sleepin in it was planeed back then

roxas is asleep for like 40 days

then xion is asleep for about 25

but in all seriousness i feel like kingdom hearts birth by sleep has the least earned sub title

its not even like their actions make the subtitle make sense

the actions relate to what sora did in KH chain of memories

aka, almost nothing to do with the events of BBS

sleeping is a trend i dont think this series will ever stop using

and dream drop distance makes sense

Since sleep seems to be a metaphor for death sometimes I just consider it as the kid friendly version of "birth by death" but I still dunno why it's named such a way

like the only time the words "birth" and "sleep" are used in the same sentence in this game is by ansem the wise in an epilogue sequence which takes place after kh2, and is focused greatly on the actions of sora, not the other 3

Birth By Sleep is the birth of new keybalde wielders while the old ones "sleep". Terra passed down the strength to wield a keyblade to Riku and he got possessed by an old man, Aqua accidentally gave the ability to Kairi and she got trapped in the Realm of Darkness and Ven was literally sleeping inside of Sora.

At least, that's how I saw it

i mean that makes sense, but it is bizarre that every other subtitled game makes it very clear what the subtitle is alluding to in the game itself, and not through subtext.

i take 358/2 days to mean a year shared by two people

i mean, that could be it, but axel is part of their trio

either xion/roxas or riku/roxas or roxas/sora

I mean, Chain of Memories, Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance makes sense in a way thematically with the story. If the game was just 358 Days then i can see it working but adding the /2 is just.....blegh
