I hated that in KH1 and KH2

I prefer KH3 method

Gummi ship is still there but you are free to skip everything except for a few bosses

i really like kh3 gunmu ship but kh2s was def better

i liked the way they worked in kh2 more also kh1 was awful

kh3's gummi ship is my fav hands down

Like I like doing the optional content in three but the way they worked it was better in two but I couldn't care less about the optional content in 2

perfect balance for those who hate it and love it, with the exception of the few forced bosses which are easy anyway

kh1 requiring you to to actually do the routes every time you wanted to change worlds until you got the warp gummi was ridiculous

like the first half of kh1 gummi ship travel is terrible

especially if you want to go back to an old world

kh1 gummi made me want to die

kh2 to me was better because they really were one and done sections

unless you actually liked them

like you still kind of have to do kh3 gummi ship sections to collect electrums and materials for the keyblade forge and synthesis

Make sure you're upgrading your ship the bosses melt

It's not necessary

in KH2 they were the most "cool simple minigame" of the kh games

If you collect chests and want to upgrade one or two keyblades only, you don't need gummi ships at all

you never have enough electrums to do that even with all the treasure chests

I had one maxed out by the end first playthrough

And I did very little gummi stuff

i mean for like all of the keyblades

like say you wanted to level up all the keyblades, you still need to do at least a little meteor grinding in the last zone

Oh yeah, definitely for all

you can get einhandr and golden highwind by extension super easily anyway, very little effort
