Indeed

It was a collection of things, mostly

loosely tied together

Even their summation was a bit here and there

At the start they say 'it happened and it mattered'

But then why?

Like interesting things they drew parallels from that in the end felt scattered

I liked some of the things, thought they were interesting

But as a whole, not really

I can only assume that the reason it's getting so much attention is
A) it gives the feeling that KH3 is actually self consistent and isn't lacking

And 2) there's no alternative

Yeah that's what I said, it's filling the gaps

Especially with the Photo of the Twilight Town gang. I wondered why Sora never showed them the photo in 2 for so long. Seeing now is so satisfying

You know at first I thought the in game cutscenes were pre-rendered because Sora’s form doesn’t appear in the cutscenes like in 2.

But nah. They’re in game.

I still wonder why the forms weren’t shown in the cutscenes. I liked that in 2.

Think the way drive forms work is a little different to 3

Yeah.

You always have set keyblades for them and there's less of a variance in the clothing. As well as 2nd form and Keyblade transformations are kind of like mid combo attacks in a way.

So I guess that since the transformation is determined by the key they just force you into the key's default state

The forms in 3 are more to show what power has increased while using a transformed keyblade.

Well if you think about it, keyblade transformations are what trigger form changes in KH3, but they keyblade needs to be in base form to be shown off in cutscenes, meaning the form has to be cancelled out for the cutscene otherwise you would get sora with a giant ass hammer blocking an attack.
