PS4s don't read the games from the disc, it installs the game into the hard drive

The disc is basically a glorified access key afterwards

My PC booted so fast when I replaced my 5400 rpm hard drive with an SSD back when I was using Windows 10

Now on Linux I can barely see a difference between booting from the same HDD vs SSD

The PS4 is the first current gen PlayStation I got since PS1 when I think about it
