@2 quid is good, back then, the price seemed outrageous b/c of the timeframe and console comparison. By today's pricing standards and the consideration of the console hybrid being a technical upgrade to the Nintendo handheld and home consoles, there is less of an issue due to adjustments for inflation and the fact that we earn higher wages.
Even the Nintendo Switch Lite at 200 is fairer w/ the prior consoles in consideration and how early the life is. Further down the line, you'd see complaints about the prices not dropping for sure since Nintendo cemented the fact that they don't plan on dropping the price anytime soon, retaining the cost as long as possible. The market will demand it, but don't expect it anytime soon.
