like they have maybe 2 or 3

but like for almost 9 albums

thats not many

their band is interesting since they had this other band pretty much all the other members came from, then that band broke up and formed this one. then this band retired and they did a new album for the older band

I love random groups in FFXIV :)

Description of the group: We want to progress and are new so expect a lot of tries.
Random guy after 2-4 tries: "You all suck. Go and delete your games"

And ofc this guy is the one that is below healers and tanks in dps

laughsinnomura

Noob shaming is part of why I don't want to play online games

after playing WoW for 9+ years this guy was actually one of the nice guys

xD

I have seen even worse people

Why are gamers so mean

the worst part about mmos though is when you enter your first pvp arena and have your text box plagued by abbreviated terms and not knowing what anything means

in december a big ffxiv streamer noob-shamed a player live on his stream and got banned in ffxiv bc of this. And in the recent live letter Yoshi P responded to this case and basically said "yeah we give a firetruck about how big you are. You are a douche and deserve your ban" laughsinnomura

I freaking love yoshi p so much laughsinnomura

I've been thinking about giving this game a try, but now I'll have to rethink my decision seasalty

how bad did he shame him? Because noob shaming is like a sport for a lot of streamers

he showed his logs (by the way logging is not allowed in ffxiv) and talked bad about this player. and you could see the full name

the only reason why they ban people for logging is, when you are using it wrong, because you need it if you want to become better at the game

What's logging in this context?

using it wrong aka noob-shaming people

oh well I guess yeah thats kind of just targeting them by name as well its not just look at this shit player let me kill him several times to make me look good

and then shout abuse at him over chat

logging means displaying the dps of each player in the group by using an external program

... and what's a DPS?

which logs the combat log in the game and turns the data into a graph

DPS = damage per second or in general the damage you are doing in the fight

I love math, but that sounds terribly boring for a game

in harder boss fights you need good damage, otherwise the boss will go enrage and will one shot everyone in the group

I used to be very good in WoW and had multiple world rank 1-15 logs on the highest possible difficulty, but I've never had the feeling to shame people in WoW, because I was happy that I could carry them and help them to kill the bosses

No matter how skilled you are, shaming other players automatically makes you a bad player imo
