the reason is they going for the realistic hair and KH is a anime cartoonish looking game

The hair still looks like that on my kh3

I was pressing X to hit the whole time, but I just opened the menu instead

I think the dodge roll is meant for big, AOE like attacks, like the scorpion's shockwave

Smaller stuff is probably intended to be blocked

Based off of the chip damage you deal to the scorpion boss, and also how classic mode is a thing, the RPG elements are the main focus here

Whereas the action part of the game is dialed down to strengthen it

As good as that boss was, there were too many instances where you were just kinda doing jackshit

Yeah, I agree on this. Hopefully some of the later bosses aren't full on like this

theory time, riku doesnt hold the sword directy over his shoulder anymore because its too heavy

he sprained it injuring it permanently

is the the wrong arm though

the arm with the cast in kh2 is his left hand

also he held it this way in kh2 which mean his arm is just getting more and more tired

poor Riku, what about cloud that heavy sword must be hard to swing around all the time

cloud gets a smaller sword in advent children, though its not that much smaller
