Oh okay so

You can purchase your own hearing aids

But you can also ask to get them through the NHS for free

oh neat.

i doubt id roll up to them if i visit and ask if i could get them for free as a tourist

:frodo:

They call it health tourism

Financially speaking, it barely affects the budget

But people make a big deal out of it anyway

mhm

There's no way around it–hearing aid prices are high. They can range from just shy of $1,000 on up to more than $6,000 for each device, depending on the level of technology. Most people with hearing loss need two hearing aids, and most insurance providers do not cover the cost. The high price tag is often a barrier to getting the help and relief hearing aids provide. Another way to think about the price of hearing aids. If your hearing aids cost $6,200, and they have a lifespan of eight years, they will cost you approximately $775 per year, $64 per month or $2.15 per day.

Bloody hell

All the prices I saw for here were £1000

If bernie doesn't work out, then I strongly recommend for you to save up some cash and take a trip to literally any other country in the world and get hearing aids/implant there

It really boils down to who votes and who doesn't

That really sucks, a cochlear implant is one thing, but hearing aids can really improve quality of life too

pain

America...

You are actually a third world country

No two ways about it

Only third world countries have obscenely rich people with great quality of life, and leave essential treatments to less well off people unobtainable

Well tbh, on that I can't claim any better because the NHS is no longer testing you unless you really push for it and if you have heard symptoms

Well.. At least we are still able to be tested for free

Has there been any progress on the pandemic? I don’t follow the news and I’m stuck home so my colleagues can’t tell me about it laughsinnomura

Why would you drop legos in the ocean? oO

It wouldn't be intentional. Nice historical evidence, but now, people would do it for science!

Too many people too close to each other

I wonder if they realize they are advised to stay at one house and not go out for social gatherings but can for dire shopping.

Just let natural selection take care of them and then more people could learn.
