> Well you have to take it from the perspective that God's word from the Holy books, any of them, are his words
That's where lies another issue, how do we know that's actually God's words and not just something from a crazy man from like 10k years ago

May as well be an atheist at that point

I don't believe the holy books are Gods word. They've been through too many revisions, translations, copies, etc etc and are often very clearly changed based on political bias of the times or agendas of men.

Even if you are a "disbeliever", I know that in the Quran at least it says that good deeds from them still count

What is disliked in Islam tho is hypocrisy

There ya go otti

Was waiting for that

That's actually very interesting Otti, it results into a closed argumentative loop

Again, this is just like existence etc

There are some assumptions one has to make wrt to this

That's true, but what if you did find the answer. What if one day you found out that the religion you believed in was just made up and there's full on facts about that. Not to say I have them, I am just being hypothetical. Would you still believe there is a god then or would you change into a different religion that you think is real?

"X religious text is the word of God. We know that because X religious text says that it's the word of the God. And we can believe in that because X religious text is the word of God"

Repeat ad nauseum

Simplified version anyway

why do we not believe the multiple people across the globe who claim themselves prophet anymore ?

Well this is something entirely different, how would I get the proof that what I believed in is a lie? Seeing as there's no physical way to prove that God exists how is there a physical way to prove he doesn't

Simply put Noleen, it's because the religious texts are considered as finished and therefore anything that is not in the canon is dismissed.

In the same reason as to how the word of God was written. How do you know it's not just by some random bystander and he suddenly made it big

Here is what bugs me about religion
We follow the words of books that have been written at least over 2K years ago and within this time and onwards we've had various prophets and men who have claimed to hear the word of God such as Jesus, Abram, Sai-baba, etc
Yet
1. Why have we not seen any new people like this any time recently? Especially if there is still a collective belief in the faith?
2. Yes the holy text have gone through updates but when you go to these mass and these services, they still share stories and text from whence they were written?

Think of it this way every book says something about the world ending but what about the rest of the universe what about everything else out there

I mean we do but they're called cults

> In the same reason as to how the word of God was written. How do you know it's not just by some random bystander and he suddenly made it big
Well I don't know, but I believe it is the word of God. When I have factual proof that it's not, then I will consider searching for the truth

That's is also true Kye, what about the eventual heat death of the universe

imagine being a startup company going head to head with apple

~No offense~

ye sure
