Because setting it above 1080 makes it hdr..

That's the weirdest shit

Like when I start up the game, the original picture of cloud in front of midgar is nice and vibrant! Then bam.. screen turns black and the picture comes back slightly desaturated

And I have tried turning off the console

But it’s not going into HDR because the big HDR logo would pop up in the top corner of my tv, which it doesn’t

My boomerness is starting to show

What’s your TV brand? Is it an LG?

I have no idea what causes that

Aren’t you younger than me Esto? oh

But sometimes, being a boomer is not about age, but rather, a specific mindset

And this whole 1080p 4K HDR moment has me all boomer-like

@Firaga13 mine is a TCL 6 series

Yea it’s the HDR making it so desaturated. I found a way to turn it off completely.. but it’s so weird that it’s registering the HDR but my tv is not indicating it’s in HDR mode.. like usually it switches settings to say “HDR Normal”

Like it should say “HDR” there

Man that is so strange.. I gotta mess with watching a 4k movie or something.. because I know for a fact it wasn’t changing the colors like this... and I played HDR games before and this never happened! So.... lol

:bigchocobo:

I apparently have this emote for some reason

Okay so I apparently fixed it by just resetting the HDMI

@Mupstun There’s your issue. The console was outputing HDR but your TV wasn’t detecting it as HDR. That’s what I thought.

My game is now switching to HDR and it looks perfect color wise p

And by resetting the HDMI do you just mean unplugging it out and back in lol

I can’t see a difference between HDR and non HDR on my TV pain

Niceeee. Odd but I guess just making sure it switches to HDMI 2.0 it’s good!
