in some way its like a novelty thing as well

It must have started somewhere

probably because people would make popcorn as a snack in the 1700's

and it stuck as a easy snack to make

so theaters started serving it

sounds like street venders would sell popcorn outside of theaters

then it just caught on from there

i wish people still made street popcorn
