the character interactions with ryuji are in general bad. He's this one character that is the entire time completely antagonistic to the entire theme of the game and no one in the party really calls him out for that

all characters in KH have better writing than him

Morgana and Ryuji's plot was so pointless, it adds nothing of value

Ryujis confidant is fine, but the character can be pretty inconsistent
Sometimes the writers just don't know what to do with him
