GT7 seems like way too early of a release this year, GT Sport has just now ended its main update phase. Usually Polyphony shuts down their servers as soon as the next game gets released, so if GT7 really does come out this year then either Polyphony goes through the effort of keeping its servers on or they shut it down and make everyone angry.

That would suck for people who just bought GTS.

Such is the fate of online-only games, as soon as their servers get shut down, the game is essentially dead.
