Being a live action remake, I guess

The $30 is just for the inital run.

I thought I saw somewhere that the lead actress actually supported the Hong Kong protests and that's why everyone is boycotting it

Have to make money somehow

Especially if it ends up on a limited release

My theory is the movie will be on Disney+ for $30 for about a month or so, then will be taken off, then when Blu-Ray sales begin, the movie will return to Disney+ without the $30

So last night I watched an old Disney film from 1975 called “the boy who talked to badgers”

It's just a way to recoop some of the money that would have been lost from not having it in the theaters due to the corona virus

or an experiment to see if people are willing to spend 30 on a movie

First off there is only one badger in the boy who talked to badgers

Second off, the kid talks to like a bunch of animals and he sucks at talking to them

If you watch it with a friend or two, then it's the same amount of money than going to the theater

yeah but it's not the theater and people are used to just paying 15 a month to get "infinite" content

Third, in the boy who talked to badgers, the badger is in like 10% of the film

Then just wait until it's free

It's only for the inital run

It's not like it's forever

that's why i think it's an experiment, the statistic coming out of it will be very useful for them and other platforms

That reminds me of why The Shape Of Water is one of the worst movies of all time

Because after sitting through it, I still don’t know what the shape of water is

Is it spherical, obtuse, right angled? I’ll never know

The funniest part of the film is the fact the kids parents think the kid is crazy and are genuinely concerned the kid is going to grow up as an idiot for going into the forest for hours to talk to animals

Then the kid gets lost

The kid doesn’t even give animals names, they call their pet cat “cat” and his badger friend “badger”

There’s a scene where a Native American shows up just to ask “is this your sons jacket” and then they say “nope” and then he leaves

He’s never in the film again

When the kid gets lost, the badger finds him, but then, the badger does nothing to help the kid from there on, it’s just a badger

This was one of the worst films I’ve ever seen

And I loved how stupid it was

Its one of those so bad it’s good films

But what is the shape of water?
