Yea, don't get me wrong, I don't think either of Abrams or Johnson are bad directors. They both have good track records. But it would have been better if they picked one of them to do all three from the beginning.

jj was a bad choice for a sequel series, i only know cause he did this with lost "yah yah let set up a mystery box plot but no bulid up and payoff so i can leave it to other people to do my work for me without any imput from me "

I don't think leaving it up to the next director was itself a bad thing. But said next director should have worked with better with what he had instead.

But overall, I still think picking either one to do all would have been a way better outcome.

Maybe it wouldn't have been perfect, but it would have been better

there was barely any lightsaber vs lightsaber duel in all three movies (just my opinion) they were like star wars aint bout light saber battles just poltics but like OT did a better job of having a mixture of what people needed . duels, space battles, etc etc

like you can do a semi good star wars film without a light saber duel like the mando tv series for a example or rouge one kinda

Rouge One wasn't just "semi good". It was great, specifically because it had a standalone story with an (almost) all original cast.

It may be the only Star Wars film that I've rewatched more than 3 times.

And at the end of the day, that is how I judge any film or TV show I watch; Rewatch value

i know i was saying they could have do a semi good star wars film and i used rouge one as a good example of how you can do one without jedi/darksiders etc etc

im unable to use solo as a good example given how shitstorm it gathered during its production

Unfortunately, even though I like both Star Wars and Marvel. I rarely find myself rewatching their films. They're like one-night-stands to me.

For real relationships. I usually prefer standalone films not part of any franchise.

Yea, that is one of the bigger problems with franchises. They're great, but they're hard to rewatch.

But I can watch Inception for the 57th time without needing too much convincing.
