And it isn’t always brown, you can get it in many colours

So that may be why taffy and fudge are marketed in similar ways in similar locations such as beachfronts

You can get salt water taffy in the UK but most places sell it online and it is very hard to get here

I just, personally, like taffy more bc of the texture.

Yeah, taffy is more chewier and has a waxy texture and fudge is more creamier and has a melt in the mouth texture

In the UK, we have “chews” which is basically our equivalent of taffy, but unlike taffy, it isn’t a souvenir food whereas sticks of rock are

What gives it the rich flavour is the cream (or milk in some cases) and butter

Fudge is stupidly rich and surpasses my tolerance for sweets/candy for the day.

I don’t like anything chocolate related, and I’m very iffy on caramel so probably not
