another person has to make up for you firetrucking up

isn't that more of an HR problem tho

sometimes HR won't do anything

because it's more of a hassle to hire a new person

than keeping the guy who does a bad job

which is dumb

firing someone creates costs

and companies do not like that

that means HR don't care about their job either

my job is too unrelated to gamedev, im not producing anything so i can't really talk about it

i just think good work should be rewarded and bad work penalized

this didn't sit well with me because I know of some game devs that had to crunch because others firetrucked up by not caring about their work

but "working law" won't allow that

i personally do the minimum asked from me without being an hindrance to my colleagues
