there is more to gameplay than battle

It's like asking why put story in DmC games when the point is to get high combos against stronger enemies

when i watched the trailer i was like "oh this looks cool and interesting" at the cutscenes then groaned at the gameplay

I don't like that this is what it is now little game more cutscenes with most games

It's to get different audiences to play it

There’s more to gameplay than simply combat, like what Noleen and Otti said

And there is gameplay

And being a game makes it different than just being a movie

Whether you like it or not is up to you

it's because the audience want to play games for hours but action gameplay gets boring quick so they cut it with tons of cutscenes for illusion of length
