Because they went a different direction

9 and 10 went back

then they went down the 7 route again

The thing is.. it’s not that they lost the charm

FF does well when the worlds are fantastical and immerse you wit hthe lore and stuff and make it nice to explore

FFXV didnt really have that

It’s just that you’re not interested in the sci-fi aesthetic for FF

it was fun to explore
