Oof, I didn't scroll up far enough ah

That does look a bit... bad, honestly

Ok

But I definitely didn't know about the whole Let's GO stuff

So the gist of it is that Game Freak put a whole bunch of unuseable Pokemon in Let's GO, but when it comes to Sword and Shield where they would actually be useable, they didn't bother

oh well I aint going to start an argument because I really dont care how many appear in sword and shield. Im fine with whatever they put into it. I just now things will get out of hand with this info.

That's how they are taking it yes.

That's... not gonna lie, that's a big yikes

Maybe its like the hidden stuff in game files of other games.

Sttuff they were going to add, but couldnt due to time constraints.

It kind of is, like I can see why it would annoy ppl because all that's left to make are the updated models, textures and sounds.

Everything else is there from the 3DS games.

Didn't Game Freak say they had "future-proofed" all Pokemon models? Meaning they wouldn't have to update them all that much, and that some tweaks here and there would suffice?

Also, yeah, those textures

laughsinnomura

Although i guess thats what happens when someone decides to put TPC in a vice grip.and demand yearly releases

Because they just reuse the same assets from each game. Which does alot of the work. I'd have to find that, I can't remember it from the top of my head. Also yeah some of those textures where can see the pixels clearly aquadisgust

this is the follow up he did which ind of explains it better.

Id be happy if they just made a new gen for each pokemon game and stuck with them instead of trying to always introduce old ones.

I'd be happy if people would stop having unreasonably high expectations for games ah

Lets Go is.. a different project entirely, and as of right now, their team/devs are.. split

"AFAIK, The gen 6 models have a massive amount of polygons because they're designed to be used with higher specs for later games in the series. I imagine that once gen 8 probably comes out on the 3DS successor, the models will be the same but still look noticeably better.

For example, here's a higher quality Noivern model that was shown at E3 3 years ago. Its possible gen 8 may look a bit like this!"

They don't want to overwork their team harder than they already are..

Definitely seems like some level of future-proofing was at play
