I feel the same way about them. On a technical level, the art is quite impressive, but composition wise, there’s very little of substance. You’re not easily able to tell their personality just by looking at them and that says poor character design to me.

All of this gives me the idea that China is just imitating anime because it’s popular, which I know—shocker.
