Way I see it, villain wise, Foretells are Phase 2, MoM is gonna be whatever Phase 3 is. Assuming Kingdom Hearts will exist after Phase 2 anyway.

What about protagonist wise?

I mean someone told him to save us and for whatever reason that involves putting us on ice, sure he didn't really hear sora out, but whoever told him to do so is probably manipulating him, telling him that he'll get something in return. I'm sure all he wants to do is find a way to save the girl and probably get his old body back too if that's really a thing we're doing kinda wish it wasn't so sure he was against us and we had to fight him but it could just be due to bad circumstances, I didn't really get any ill will from it all personally

Maybe his body was going to be a vessel for some powerful unseen malevolent force, and I don't mean Xehanort. So Yozora or atleast whoever is using his form thought it best to prevent that by crystallizing Sora from suffering such a fate, but not really the best thing either
