in KH 1 you have to set it manuaIIy for DonaId to heaI you on time
in KH 2 he'II usuaIIy get it
in KH 3 bro wastes aII of his MP in 2 seconds and then dies

in all games he does heal properly if you setup him properly

I found that Donald actually lived relatively longest in kh3 for the most part because of the size of the arenas and the aggression of the bosses being mainly on you

feels like the game actually waits for donald and goofy before adding them to the party
pretty interesting bc usually these party changes are made instantly when the cutscene starts
