Kh1 is clunky as hell gameplay wise

Not really.. you kinda just have worlds open up just like KH1

It felt like their visits to the Disney worlds were fundamental to their character development instead of being another stop in the Disney sightseeing tour

It's just the KH1 camera that really got me.

KH1 camera is weird but I got used to it

KH2 has the better gameplay for me, but I'm more of a fan of KH1's complete package

Ah, I definitely agree. Although I liked that feeling of getting lost, some of the world progression in KH1 felt a tad random

I wish KH had a full map you could look at. It would also allow you to mark locations on it.

Braving through Hollow Bastion was an awesome experience for me, it really felt like the game had gone full final dungeon esque and all the pieces were in place to create an outstanding experience for me

My biggest issue with KH1 was the amount of platforming when Sora wasn't designed well for it.

Platforming was extremely hard coulpled with the camera.

True, platforming only gets tolerable when High Jump is obtained
