Yes that yellow bar is the Spirit Link
This allows you to link with Sora, Donald, Goofy and have enhanced abilities based on that person's class

Sora being offensive gets enhances combo speed, jump height, recovery from stagger on command, and more

Donald gives you enhanced magic abilities such as better MP haste and MP rage as well as more magic damage

Goofy being support gives you a full heal on link as well has better defense and HP recover on hit
