I think they are using the assets from the 3DS games, instead now they don't need to downscale it

atleast mega evolution changed the pokemon though

well theres that but there was always the original methods of getting perfect iVs through constant breeding methods

breeding is also sth they should change imo. isn't it to a certain degree rng?
