which assumedly has knowledge on the unverse

and as an extension, Vanitas, and the happenings to Aqua Ven and Terra

why would he go along with the book then?

Also, the way the MoM's future sight works. The only consistent universe that can possibly exist is one in which what he sees happen, happens.

If his future sight changed what happened, then that in turn would change what he saw and writes down, and if that changes things, then that too would... etc etc etc.

Until we get to a self fulfilling prophecy.
