Shes breaking up with him specifically because she cannot let him know that he's actually dead again.
If she does he'll be gone permanently

And whatever magic brought him back is why the afterlife is kind of going haywire at least it's implied
Presumably intended to follow up on whatever continuation they originally planned

But I know people don't care about the actual story of the novel they just want to sensationalize it.

The afterlife had already issues in X-2 because X-2 established that the world falls apart and I wish they wouldn't have added this part because they are just repeating plotpoints. X should never have gotten a sequel

I mean yeah it's not very good I just wish people would be accurate when shitting on it

But I can imagine the amount of people who actually care to read it is very low even I haven't gone back to it in a quite a few years forgotten most details

personally i liked x-2. gameplay wise at least
