I was about to finish the first chapter of my fic:

"Dance Dance Your Way Into My Heart."

I will say, the combat is still the weakest part of Remedy

Its a step up because there is a bit more variation but the issue is still that it doesn't do a good job with it

Its a good foundation at least, but if character action like this is going to continue they need to give you more options in how the combos land. Anything you unlock is just a new finisher.

They also have to either give you more options to equip weapons or not make the hammer so damn useful

Actually thinking about it more, this is the same exact issue I had with FF16

There are options, they just aren't as satisfactory as what you pick from the beginning

And with how limited the pool of what you can do is despite the story and the function of your weapon (in 16s case the eikons) saying otherwise

At least this one has some fun side stuff though

Although then again, this is the first Remedy game I have finished so they did something good at least
