Both these decisions sound stupid to me. You can't just announce "the Kang dynasty" and then decide "actually, nah". It's not like announcing blade and then backtracking on it (which hopefully doesn't happen either)
And reviving 2 characters that got reasonably decent sendoffs? That's stupid no matter how you look at it

if the rumors are true about a soft reboot to the MCU, I'd be okay with them returning as different variants(different actors too) but having the originals return feels whack
